MEF believes that we can achieve our goals when we tap into the power of our community . This past year , our staff worked hard to create a powerful learning community for our many teacher constituents and the greater Chabad educational community as a whole . Our varied events and services presented many new opportunities for connecting people and developing knowledge and skills that directly enhance the education of our children .

Job Fair For the fourth year in a row , MEF ran a Chabad Chinuch Job Fair in Crown Heights . Hundreds of job seekers explored over 100 positions available in 32 schools around the country .

Chinuch Awards Over 200 individuals from throughout the Chabad educational world nominated teachers for recognition in the inaugural Chinuch Awards . Of the ten finalists , Rabbi Zalman Shapiro and Mrs . Miriam Gerber were awarded in a special reception .

TIP 5776 Graduation 16 teachers completed the yearlong intensive Teacher Induction Program , and were celebrated and recognized for their tremendous achievements in a special graduation ceremony .

Web-Based Learning New for this year , the Teacher Induction Program is almost fully virtual , featuring live , interactive online classes that allow teachers to participate from around the world .

Charidy Campaign MEF surpassed our goal by raising $ 301,204 from over 660 donors during a 24-hour all-or-nothing crowd-funding campaign . We are so grateful for the tremendous generosity of our matching donors , as well as the many community donors who rallied to support MEF , proving grassroots communal support for the need for educational improvement .
