Gymnázium Christiana Dopplera
Gymnázium Christiana Dopplera is a secondary school offering a 4-year and two 8-year programs concluded with a maturita exam. The classes in the 4-year program are all focused on Mathematics and also on Physics and Computers. The 8-year program includes both mathematical and language focused classes. The language ones prepare the students for the B2 or C1 level of proficiency (according to the SERR) in two foreign languages, where English is considered the main one and the secondary language is either German or French. Russian is also taught at the school if there is interest. GCHD has a status of a school with the German language diploma (equal to the C1 level).
All subjects are taught by fully qualified teachers. Our students are very successful in a large plethora of competitions and tournaments. In addition to all this, our students prepare several competitions for students of other schools themselves including FYGYZ, Doppler’s Wave or Prague Shot.
The students have a wide choice of seminars in their last two years, which prepare them for their future university studies.
