Melbourne Fringe teamed up with Artplay and Polyglot to present Bellbird , an interactive musical installation for children and their families . Brass bells were attached to hundreds of streaming ribbons suspended in mid-air .
Across the first weekend of the school holidays , 1,279 kids and parents were blindfolded and guided through the space , creating their own playful soundtrack through movement as they wandered through the space .

MY LITTLE GIRL IS VISION IMPAIRED . I FOUND THIS SO WONDERFUL . KNOWING HOW BEAUTIFUL THE WORLD CAN BE THROUGH SOUND MAKES ME HAPPY . I THOUGHT THAT THE ROOM WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH SMALLER WHEN I COULDN ’ T SEE IT . THAT GAVE ME SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT .”
