CYCLE OF LIFE
Butterflies are known to be beautiful creatures, but did you know that they weren't born that way?! As they grow, they undergo several stages of changes which is called "metamorphosis". First, the lady butterfly lays her eggs on leaves/stems of plants. These eggs would usually hatch in about a week. Now, the caterpillar eats its way out of the egg and grows older over time. Once it is fully grown, it turns itself into a cucoon (aka pupa) in which it changes into a the beautiful and colourful butterfly. This process can take weeks or even months.
