Just 23 months after the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant( ARC-PA) granted the program Accreditation-Continued status, following a four-year probationary period, FSU’ s program has never been stronger.
“ Data from the Physician Assistant Education Association tells us that one of the greatest priorities for applicants is that program’ s accreditation status,” said PA Program Director and Associate Dean Ben
Smith, PA-C, DMSc, who has been with the program since its 2016 launch and its leader since January 2022.
“ A really trusted colleague said that students want to ensure the program is stable. They want to be reassured that everything’ s going to be okay in this stress test of PA school. That drives admissions. A student wants to invest in a place where they know they can be successful. We have a culture of success.”
