Late Wednesday night three bodies were uncovered in the Capulet Crypt. The body of Paris Oxon was found stabbed to death at the entrance of the crypt, the body of Romeo Montague was found in the rear of the crypt with Juliet Capulet lying on top of him. Friar Lawrence announced that Romeo and Juliet were deeply in love with each other and got married, but when many situations arose and Romeo was banished and Juliet was arranged to marry Paris, Juliet and Friar Lawrence formulated a plan where Juliet would stage her death that way her and Romeo could be together. But, due to Friar John’s illness he was unable to deliver a letter to Romeo stating that Juliet was going to be staging her death. So when Romeo got news of Juliet’s death he truly believed that she was dead so he purchased a potion and he must have taken it moments before Juliet woke. After Juliet woke she must have noticed that Romeo had died so she stabbed herself with the dagger from Romeos belt. Friar Lawrence also stated that “Doth make against me, of this direful murder; And here I stand both to impeach and purge Myself condemmed and myself excus’d.’ All families have suffered many loses due to the secret love of Romeo and Juliet, but if it all those lives hadn’t been lost the lifelong Capulet Montague feud would have never ended. It took many lives, many deaths and also many years for these two families to make peace. We are very happy that these two families have made peace but it’s upsetting to think of everything that had to happen for those two families to make peace.
