recently hosted a launch event for
the free Ascend Skills Training
Programme, as part of the
Healthcare Technologies Showcase
at Sheffield Hallam University.
The breakfast event featured an
overview of the Innovation and PR,
Marketing and Social Media courses
aimed at business growth, on offer
to Healthcare Technology companies
across the Sheffield City Region.

has further strengthened its
team and expertise with the
appointment of a new Innovation
Officer and an internal promotion.
Tom Wright takes up the new role
as Innovation Officer working
with Dr Patrick Trotter, Innovation
Services Manager, on the discovery
and development of new products
for Healthcare Technology
organisations, which can help
transform patient care.
Tom holds a BSc and an MA, and
has previously worked in Innovation
Services producing market
research studies for a range of
companies, across the Healthcare,
Engineering, Digital Tech, and
Environmental sectors.
Tom Elliott from the International
Team has been promoted to Senior
International Coordinator and will
have increased responsibility for
delivering Medilink’s contract
as UKTI Yorkshire Life Sciences
Regional Sector Specialist. He
will take the lead on delivery for
international events and also
manage the Export element of the
Ascend Medil ink Skills Programme.
