celebrated at

Medilink Awards
The world famous Old Trafford
football stadium in Manchester set the
scene for this year’s Medilink North
West Christmas Dinner and Awards,
supported by the Business Growth Hub.
More than 100 guests from
healthcare organisations from
across the region were welcomed
at a networking drinks reception
followed by a complimentary tour of
the ground and a Christmas lunch.
Guest speakers included Richard
Jeffrey, Director of Business
Growth at the Business Growth Hub
and inspirational former Winter
Paralympian and World Cup skier,
Sean Rose.
Five awards were handed out over
the afternoon.

based in Daresbury, Cheshire.

presented by Janet Knowles from
HGF to Global BioDiagnostics Ltd,
also based in Daresbury, Cheshire.
•  he Partnership with the NHS

Award was presented by Rosaline
Way from Liverpool Health
Partners on behalf of Liverpool
LEP to Lancaster-based Veraz Ltd.

presented by UKTI’s Mike Connor to
Bolton-based, Vernacare.
•  he Outstanding Achievement
T
Award was presented by Jamie
Moore from Medical Engineers to
Bootle-based Mast Group.
Kevin Kiely, Chief Executive of
Medilink North West, said: “It has
been fantastic to see such a broad
diversity of companies represented
at this year’s Medilink North West
Awards with everything from
bespoke microbiology testing and
IT solutions for the NHS, to pointof-care diagnostics and other
innovative healthcare solutions that
serve the needs of both national and
international markets.”

West’s credentials as a hub for
healthcare innovation.”

The Medilink UK Awards 2015
The winners of the North West
Awards will now be put forward
for consideration at the Medilink
UK Awards. If successful, they will
compete with other organisations from
across the UK for the national title.
The Medilink UK Awards take place on
29 April 2015 at the Med Tech Innovation
Expo, held at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.
