Mr Stapleton, who becomes the first external industry chair of Medilink UK, will lead his first major task when he chairs a meeting to agree a new three year strategy for Medilink UK. The former Managing Director and Chief Executive of 3M Australia and New Zealand has also previously held the posts of Director at Medilink East Midlands and Chairman of the Association of British Healthcare Industries. Ark Home Healthcare’s new state-of-the-art operational control centre and head office in Sheffield City Centre has been designed, built and furnished by Structural Interiors. Andy Baker, Contracts Director at Structural Interiors, said: “We are very proud of the facilities we have set up for Ark. We have worked with a range of healthcare clients, including JRI Orthopaedics in Sheffield. I am pleased one of our projects exemplifies the ongoing growth of the healthcare sector in this region.” Structural Interiors specialises in high quality environments for a wide range of clients. The company has over 20 years of combined design and build, fit-out, refurbishment and project management expertise. Councillor Leigh Bramall, Sheffield City Council’s cabinet member for business, skills and development, added: “Healthcare technologies is a key sector for Sheffield and it is great news that Ark will be joining the world leading healthcare and medical businesses that are based here in Sheffield.” Find out more at www.structuralinteriors.co.uk 197 MILES FOR 197 YEARS OF PARKINSON’S DISEASE Medilink’s PR and Communications Director, Jason Brannan, is running 197 miles around Norfolk to raise money for Parkinson’s UK. Jason, along with friend Stuart Graver, is running the 197 miles to mark the 197th anniversary of the discovery of Parkinson’s disease. The two keen runners will run an average of 20 miles a day from 23-31 May in support of Stuart’s father, Robin, who has Parkinson’s. The duo will run the full 197 miles around Norfolk, where Stuart’s father grew up, beginning in Kings Lynn and then following the North Norfolk Coastal Path before returning to finish back at Kings Lynn with a 27 mile run.
