The medical campus will include an ambulatory medical center and medical office building which is expected to be complete in the late 2015. The facility will provide emergency services, diagnostic imaging and outpatient surgery to the residents and employee population in Springwoods Village and surrounding areas. “Springwoods Village exemplifies sustainable, healthy living – a goal we share – promoting work-life balance, prevention and community health,” said Debra Sukin, President, CHI St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital and Lakeside Hospital. “St. Luke’s has been providing compassionate healthcare to Southwest Texas for nearly 60 years, and we have been honored to serve North Houston for more than a decade. We are excited to continue our strong legacy within the region by expanding our clinical programs, new models of care and costeffective treatment options.” With an initial investment of $110 million, the new campus will include a 55,000-square-foot ambulatory medical center and a 100,000-square-foot medical office building with space for more than 30 physicians. Additionally, CHI St. Luke’s is committed to investing as much as $70 million over the next five years for future developments, including a master plan for future hospital and campus expansion that will enable the organization to continue to provide high-quality care with the continued growth of Springwoods Village. CHI St. Luke’s has hospitals in The Woodlands and in The Vintage, a development east of Springwoods Village. The new facility will be more convenient to an estimated 300,000 individuals living and moving to the area. “Integrating healthcare facilities into Springwoods Village is an important part of creating a complete community,” said Keith Simon, Executive Vice President, Coventry Development Corporation. “CHI St. Luke’s is the perfect health care partner because of its focus on providing services where people live, work and play. Springwoods Village will be home to 50,000 employees and residents, so it’s important they have access to excellent health care delivered right in the community.” Located 25 miles north of Downtown Houston, Springwoods Village is an 1,800acre mixed-use community in north Harris County, and home to the new ExxonMobil corporate campus and Southwestern Energy’s consolidated headquarters. Designed for sustainability, Springwoods Village will serve a population of up to 50,000 employees and residents while providing diverse housing options and amenities, such as shopping, dining, schools, civic facilities and outdoor recreation.
