Medical Conditions That Could Preclude Entry 20 Nov 24 | Page 2

OVERVIEW
Candidates joining the RAF must be medically fully fit, both physically and psychologically, to meet the challenges of military service, during which they will be expected to deploy, potentially at short notice, to locations world-wide that are remote from established medical care.
Please note that candidates undergoing or waiting for medical or surgical procedures, or who are yet to be stabilised on permitted treatment, are normally unfit.
If you have( or have had) any of the medical conditions listed below, you do not meet the current medical entry standards required to enter the Royal Air Force, although some conditions are acceptable after a specified period of recovery. It is important to note this list is NOT exhaustive and is provided for guidance only, and other exclusion criteria may be identified during your subsequent full entry medical examination.
Please note that this list is provided for guidance only and Recruiting staff are not medically qualified to advise. Therefore, if you have a medical condition which is not included on the list, please continue your application and your eligibility will be assessed at the medical examination stage.
