EDUCATION EDUCATION The American education system is one that is highly praised for its global acceptance and dual accreditation. Having interacted with the students and staff of the American University, we have a broader picture to explore on how students are guided to the completion of their studies till they are employed. This importance is from a global concept where education strikes as the most emphasized need by the legends that have been there overtime. Martin Luther King said, “I have the audacity to believe that peoples every- where can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality, and freedom for their spirits”. as to secure employment in one of the big corporates in America and around the globe. The course advisors and directors also guide them the students on how they can secure thee jobs. This has often been accorded the term ‘connections’ which is just a simplified version of the real deal behind it. For a student to get ‘connected’ to a great organization for their internship or a career, there are factors that have to be considered. The student has to have a really impressive GPA otherwise the chance is given to one who attains the same. Equally, the student has to show interest by seeking this advice from the authorized staff, lecturers or the course advisors. The student has to also make a follow up of the same. Good grades and interest are real- ly crucial and keenly followed as the criteria. This ensures that unqualified students do not land themselves op- portunities that they really did not work hard for at the same time denying an- other their due. This also ensures that the employment sector remains very relevant and with qualified individuals. America is keen to conserve their culture and this applies as so for their education. One of the compulsory things that pupils and students must do is have an educational tour of the monuments that are within Washing- ton DC. The monuments represent the history of America with a very keen eye on their legends. The students of the New York Film Academy have a great testimony on their advantage to having a great exposure and interaction with individ- uals from their own field of study. The students with a major in arts and film get to interact with the global film stars and producers within that industry. They are able to get advice on how to embrace their field of work and how to keep up with the changes that happen every so often. Students also get to have some of their classes through the MET which is one of the biggest mu- seums in the world. The global history that comes with that is unsurpassable!
