We joined Journey 9, Richard and Judy, and Mick Hucknall at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital’s Charity Discovery Ball, where they smashed their target and raised £130,000, which will go towards increasing the capacity of the children’s clinical research facility. Mark Kureishy caught up with Richard on page 16. Cloud 23 at the Hilton hosted afternoon tea for Variety, the children’s charity, so we went along to learn more about them and how they make an immediate difference to children who have to cope with sickness, disability or disadvantage. I joined 300 other ladies at the Beechwood Cancer Care’s Beautiful Butterflies Ladies’ Lunch and Fashion Show at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa. Beechwood Cancer Care offer support to those living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, as well as helping their relatives and carers. Beechwood and Variety will feature in future issues.
