CD DIGIPAK

Our CD front cover does conform to the usual layout of a band cover as from research that I have done I know that typically bands do their name in a signature font hat is almost like a logo within itself (as it's the style of font that people will characterise to be the bands) displayed below or above the album name. This can be seen in bands such as Fall Out Boy, JLS, McFly and All Time Low.

Another reason we conform to real media products is we display our band clearly on the front so fans and possible consumers know what they look like which links to the star theory as previously mentioned.

Our booklet continues to conform to what is expected with lyrics for each song being within it alongside pictures of each band member. We got some inspiration from The Beatles album cover of Let It Be when it came to the layout as we thought it brought out the 'fun' aspect of the band as in each photo they pulled different expressions.

Finally, our back cover conforms to real media products as we followed typical conventions of a track list and our single being one of the first songs as it usually is on an album. We also included a bar code, copyright notice and company logo for it to look professional and realistic.

WEBSITE

With our website, we conform to conventions of real products with it having tabs that consumers and fans would expect, such as a homepage, about, music, shop and contact. Although I think we develop it with our gallery tab as it holds behind the scenes photos that is exclusive to the website. This gives fans more reason to visit the site as unlike other band websites I have visited our gallery is not connected to social media, making the fans feel they are getting more content from the band.

We also show that we are current with the use of cross media convergence with the social media tab at the top, which displays the bands want to connect with fans through social media. Other ways for fans to connect with the band also includes the contact page. Furthermore, cross media convergence is shown through the option for consumers and fans to buy the music on the store, stream on Spotify or buy on iTunes.

Also, we decided to create a shop is professional artists and bands often sell merchandise to promote themselves.

On our homepage, we decided to put a mixture of things from the band on it such as tour dates, the album and shots from the music video. On The Vamps homepage, they did a similar layout which I thought looked good as it presents fans straight away with ways to see the band live, their recent music and alerts them about the new music video.
