Indian Medical Device manufacturing sector
has remained nascent, leading to tremendous
import dependencyleading to high cost of
medical products and services in India. Govt. of
Andhra Pradesh aims to establish country's rst
Medical Technology Manufacturing Park at
Vishakhapatnam with a goal to form an
internationally recognized manufacturing hub
for medical devices, reduce import dependency,
make Andhra Pradesh a leader in medical
technology exports, generate employment, and
contribute to volume generated cost reduction
of medical devices for patients.

ACHIEVER STEPS
Medical devices manufacturing requires certain
high investment facilities which are too capital
intensive for individual manufactures leading
them to either not undertake production
requiring these technologies or send their
products abroad for process up-gradation and
value addition. AMTZ would have such facilities
in-house to reduce manufacturing process
costs, and being located well connected with
Railways, Roadways, Waterways and Airways
with near presence of Industrial Corridors, Port
and Harbour, logistical costs will also reduce.
The park will provide for 200-300 modern state
of art independent manufacturing units, each of
a ready to use plot area of 0.25, 0.5 and 1.0
acres. Facilities included are:

CHAMBER OF SECRET
The Foundation Stone was laid on August 19,
2016 by Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu where he
interacted with prospective manufacturers and
service providers under the AMTZ Investors'
Summit 2016. The AMTZ Team is led under the
able guidance of Dr. Jitendar Sharma, CEO of
AMTZ and the brain behind this project. Senior
Management of AMTZ includes Shri Manish
Gangal, VP (Operations), Shri Vipin
Ramachandran, VP (Finance) and Shri Nitin
Bharadwaj, VP (HR & Admin), each bringing
along with them valuable industry experience
and a dedication to serve the nation in this noble
mission.
