What sets this program apart from others is that during this two-semester design course the students will design , build , and test a product . They don ’ t get to stop at a CAD model , an analysis , or a poster . Every student is required to work a minimum of 10 hours per week on their senior design project . Accounting for the work of each student over both semesters , total hours equal more than 116,000 each academic year .
