Sally Rooney is an Irish author and screenwriter in her twenties. Her
debut novel, ‘Conversations with Friends’, was published in 2017 and it
was followed by ‘Normal People in 2018’. In 2020, ‘Normal People’ was
adapted into a BBC TV series and it was a runaway success. MPP former
student and former TY musical lead Paul Mescal played Connell. Mescal
was recently nominated for Best Lead Actor in the 2020 Emmy Awards.
