Friday Club
A new initiative on the part of the
School Chaplaincy is the 'Friday Club'
for junior students to help give them a
positive start to their weekend. With
school finishing at 12.30 pm on a
Friday, there is a gap to provide a
facility for those students who may not
be involved in other activities and for
whom it is too early to return home.
The activities are led by a competent
Chaplaincy Team, made up of a group
of trained youth workers who have had
previous experience in a youth
environment. The School Sports Hall
is open from 12.30 pm to 2.00 pm.
This gives the opportunity for students
to play Basketball, Badminton or just
have a kick around. Classroom 46 is
also open with a number of board
games available. Some students like
spending time creating drawings,
while others even decide to do some
of their homework.
The Wellbeing of students is very
much at the heart of this activity, and
so fruits and snacks are available to
promote healthy eating. Some senior
students are also now involved as
helpers. Different activities are being
planned for the coming months,
including a Dodge-ball Tournament.
So,
keep
an
eye
out
for
announcements.

Musical Instruments
Delivery
Thank you to the PTA for their support in purchasing all the
instruments shown.
As parents we would encourage you if possible to contribute
to the PTA as they give so generously to the school to
support your child’s educational experience.
TY Musical
The Friday Club activity is fully
supported by the school and some
parents
have
expressed
their
appreciation for the care that the
school provides.
The Chaplaincy is seen as an integral
part of the holistic education that is
provided at Maynooth Educational
Campus, which seeks to address the
diverse needs of mind, body and spirit
of the students, so as to promote their
wellbeing and health.

As our TYs have returned from their Paris trip, their
attention now turns towards the musical. The TY
auditions for the MEC Musical 2020 will take place after
Midterm. ♯AllShookUp
