European Parliament Ambassador School Programme
Congratulations to the Transition Year students who have successfully completed the Ambassador School programme and who will shortly receive their award as junior ambassadors for Europe . Students participated in a range of online activities over the course of the year that helped them deepen their knowledge of Europe and European parliamentary democracy .
Particular emphasis was placed on the opportunities available to young people in Europe and on the ways in which EU programmes and initiatives have improved the quality of life for citizens of Europe . Students learned about ways in which they can personally engage with European issues and how to contribute to shaping the future of Europe .

New Romanian Teacher Bio
Giorgiana Maria Goci ( Kulcsar ) is our new Romanian Language , Culture and Civilisation teacher for 5 th and 6 th year students . eTwinning is an online platform for teachers working in 38 European countries . It was launched in 2005 by the European Commission to encourage collaboration between schools across Europe through Information & Communication Technologies ( ICT ).
Through eTwinning teachers can connect with teachers in other countries and set up projects together for their students to get involved and learn together . All the project work is uploaded and accessible on eTwinning Twinspace .
Giorgiana graduated from Babeș Bolyai University , Cluj- Napoca , Romania , with a major in English ( EFL ) and another one in Romanian ( RNL ). She holds an MBA in Educational Management and a special purpose award in Web Design and Graphic Design .
She worked as a language teacher for 6 years in her hometown , Baia Mare , Maramureș , ( having started her career in 2006 ).
As Ireland opened new language opportunities , Giorgiana joined a group of Romanian and English teachers within her own community and has provided her services here since 2012 , as an interpreter in court and other public institutions , as well as a freelance tutor for private groups and companies . ( endorsed by Languages Unlimited School DUB ). She is the founder of Hello Language School , that provides free online classes for non- English speakers and for students preparing for Leaving Certificate Romanian exam .
She joined our school community in 2020 , preparing our final year students for their LC Romanian examination .
