LCA Cookery Pratical Exam

LCA students did their Hotel Catering and Tourism cookery practical exam on Thursday 20th. There were 5 students from MCC and 5 students from MPP. It was examined by a teacher appointed by the SEC. The cookery practical exam is worth 50 % of the overall HCT grade. Each student had to complete 4 tasks and present their dishes accordingly.
Their teacher Ms Clarke was so proud of all their hard work under such tough circumstances- in particular as a result of their lack of cookery practice due to ongoing Covid restrictions. Here’ s a sample of some of the dishes....

Bake sale goodies- brown soda bread, chocolate brownies and Cookie Monster muffins

Mexican three course meal 🇲🇽 loaded nachos, chicken fajitas and Arroz con leche( rice pudding)
Fruit & Vegetable- homemade vegetable soup, apple pear and raspberry crumble, berry smoothie, vegetable hors d’ oeuvres platter
Afternoon Tea
