Following the final rounds of
judging, we all once again
gathered in the BT Arena and
waited for the awards and BT
Young
Scientists
and
Technologists of the Year to
be
announced.
It was
interesting to hear about the
different projects that won,
especially of those which we
saw around before.
The only thing I didn’t miss was hearing the words “bing
bong” every time an announcement was made for the four days but
our time in the RDS wouldn’t have been complete if we didn’t
get the “Bing Bong” to give our teacher and project director, Mr
Dixon, a shoutout over the tannoy.
Friends and family visited on the last day. We took down our poster
and packed away our belongings. It’s safe to say it was difficult to
leave the whole event after creating so many memories and meeting
new people. We said goodbye to many of our friends who were
leaving before the farewell disco and left the RDS Hall as BT Young
Scientists for the last time. It is an experience I will forever cherish
and I highly encourage anyone who has an idea, big or small, to
follow through and participate in the next BT Young Scientist
Exhibition!
