Henry Winkler

Henry Winkler was born on October 30, 1945 in Manhattan, New York. When he was growing up he had "a high level of low self-esteem." In his school life, from elementary to high school he was not much of an academic person. He struggled with a disability dyslexia. He dreamed to become an actor on stage but his parent wanted him to work with them in there family company. In the eighth grade his acting debut began when he played as Billy Budd in their school play. Even with dyslexia Henry received a Bachelor’s degree from Emerson College. After college he attacked the his dream of becoming an actor. Appearing in 30 commercials was only the beginning of his acting career. The very first big part the he played in was in the The Lords of Flatbush when he played as one of the Brooklyn gang. After that his acting career just gotten better. He showed that even with a disability you can persevere and reach your dream in life.
