Why does hunger happen? Well hunger happens for a lot of different reasons one of such is poverty. Poverty affects hunger because they aren’t able to afford nutritious meals for their family. As you know hunger makes people weak and unable to work meaning they can not earn money for their family. This makes getting out of poverty really hard to do. Adding on, markets have an unstable food prices. This means the poorest people aren't able to constantly get food for themselves. All in all when you are hungry this traps you in poverty giving you a lesser chance of better future.

Another reason is food wastage. Did you know that one third of all foods that are produced is never consumed. Most food is rejected before it even gets to a market self. We waste a lot of natural resources that we need to feed our planet. When we waste food we miss the chance to help prevent hunger. Food wastage worsen and does not improve our global food security in which one. and eight is hungry. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t help to prevent hunger.
