Ashley
Rose Murphy
Her
Story
"Rock Your Differences"
She was born HIV positive, and the condition had developed into AIDS. She soon was put into a foster care, and her foster parents found out she only had a week to live. Once she was brought home her health soon became stronger and stronger.
"All you need is one good friend who accepts you"
Ashley lived longer than just a week and has been speaking about her condition since she was only 10. She lost friends because there parents thought it was a contagous condition, but when she had friends she would go over to there house and would be given plastic utensils to eat/drink with, so while her friends were using metal utensils she was the only one using disposable forks, knives, spoons, even ate her food off of disposable plates. Her hope and courage is amazing, sharing her story probably helps many people who have the same condition as her face there fears and stay strong. Ashley still tells her story and explains to people about her condition and the reality of it.
Ashley was born to parents unable to care for her, Ashley was fighting for her life in the hospital
at just six months old.
