Why isn't hunger solved? Well we are getting close. Oxfam is working with some organisations in a country to hopefully end the issue of hunger, but any other country still have food aids and are still struggling with the issue of hunger.

Poor nutrition causes 45% of deaths in children under five meaning 3.1 million children each year. Children who do not die from hunger will have inadequate height and around 160 million children do. Many of the hungry people which is 780 out of 795 million people live in developing countries.

ISSUE Hunger

Many developing countries have lots of farms, 80% of the poor in Sub-Saharan Africa work as rural farmers. Each night, 75% of their children go hungry because they struggle to grow enough to feed their families. Men and women both farm, but If women farmers had the same access to resources as men, the number of hungry in the world could be reduced by up to 150 million. Did you know that 281 million hungry people live in just Southern Asia alone. Not only developing countries have hunger as an issues, so does countries like Canada. Every month, Canadian food banks serve 841,191 people. Also Canadians made roughly 14 million food bank visits in 2014. Now that you see how much hunger is an issue.
