Body Image

Body image is how you picture your body even if it isn’t what you look like. Everyone has body image issues at some point in their life, whether it’s a friend, a family member, celebrities or even you, yourself. Once you start having body image issues such as thinking you’re ugly, thin, short, too tall etc. it is very hard to stop and forget about those thoughts. So here are some tips on how to maintain a positive body image.

Tips on maintaining a positive body Image:

-Eat Healthy Foods :

Eating healthy foods is a great way to maintain a positive body image as it not only helps maintain your weight and prevent diseases but it also boosts your self-confidence. It makes you feel happier, relaxed and less stressed.

-Eat Regularly :

Many teenagers force themselves to not eat as they believe it will help them lose weight which is false as when you’re in your teens you are constantly developing so not eating properly will lead to lack of nutrition and energy to help you get through the day. Eating regularly will help boost mood and concentration. Try eating 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) with snacks in between to control your appetite.

-Exercise Regularly :

Exercise around 30 minutes per day will reduce stress, lower your body fat, improve your sleep and boost your self-confidence and self-esteem.
