This week marks the birthday of our beloved author, Dr. Seuss. From Hop On Pop to The Places You'll Go, the Dr. Seuss books have become an integral part of any Early Childhood Department. As we celebrate Dr. Seuss, we also celebrate reading! Each of our students is in the reading process. Whether they are toddlers who hear stories from their teachers or Kindergartners who can read independently, we all love to read, read, read.

Our celebration began with guest readers visiting the classrooms for a special story time. The readers included Toyota, Richard Acosta, Ms. Julie Averbuch, Mrs. Melzer, Rabbi Yablok, Junior (a custodial staff member), Sharon Newman, Aleta and Morah Aviva.

In the afternoon, we were joined by students from the sixth, seventh and eighth gradse who paired up with our students for some quiet reading time.

It was hard to tell who enjoyed the day more. We loved the reading and the connections to the people at MDS.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!
