NEW HOUSE SONG FOR 2014
Can you believe that we survived a very hectic 2013
and 150th anniversary celebration year. Certainly
from my perspective, I can very confidently say that
our 150th year with all its celebratory functions etc
was a huge success. The small part we as Old Boys
played in all the different functions throughout the
year contributed immensely to the success of the
year as a whole. Thank you to all those gentlemen
who attended functions, were actively involved, and
did their bit for the MCOBA.
It is difficult for me to pin point a highlight, as I am
of the opinion that the whole year was a highlight.
My personal choice of a highlight would be that we
as a school leadership group, inducted a new
Headmaster, who is proving to be beyond our initial
expectations and has made a huge impact on
Maritzburg College in a very short space of time.
Chris Luman has done us proud, and I ask that you
all continue to give him your full support. With his
appointment, have come some major changes, but I
assure you that all these changes have not been
implemented without many hours of heavy debate
amongst the school executive, Governing Body and
many times the boys themselves. Good Luck Mr
Luman as you continue to lead our great 150 year
old school.
