Transitioning from automotive repair to truck and tire repair
Mid-County recently made the decision that we will no longer be scheduling auto repair services . This decision has been made as a result of a change in focus toward truck and tire repair .
Mid-County ’ s truck business has been on an upward pattern for several years , and the clientele has grown . On the other hand , the automotive sector has been declining . The labor market has changed significantly , and access to trained auto technicians has left many repair shops in a difficult position .
Given that , Mid-County is now moving its focus to truck repair and will refer its existing automotive customers to a reputable shop that we are confident will meet their needs . We will still continue with DOT inspections , truck alignments , truck tires , farm and implement tires , and general truck repair .
Corey Eischens has been appointed as the shop foreman and will schedule all truck and tire repairs . He will work with all truck and tire repair customers to ensure their needs are met .
Store hours will remain the same , and any changes needed will be re-evaluated in the summer .
The shop will continue to provide propane cylinder refills , which can be dropped off at any time , and can be picked up at noon and 5 p . m . Customers who need one sooner can exchange 20 # cylinders at the Cologne Holiday Store .
91 Octane Non-Oxy gasoline will still be available at the shop until our Cologne Holiday Store switches over its 91 Oxy tank to Non-Oxy . We plan to convert our 10 % Ethanol gas to 91 Non-Oxy gas at our Holiday store soon . The shop will offer 91 Non-Oxy at the shop until the conversion is complete at the Holiday store . The sales of Race Gas and Diesel Fuel will be evaluated during the summer .
We will not always be able to staff the front retail area . If we cannot staff the retail
area , a temporary sign will be placed on the front of the door directing customers to the shop area .
If shop staff are unable to answer the phones , or are busy with another costumer , feel free to leave a message . We will be checking for messages frequently and call back customers as soon as possible .
Considering the market ’ s changes , Mid- County ’ s shift towards truck and tire repair is a smart business move . We have put measures in place to meet our customers ’ needs . Our commitment to providing excellent service remains unchanged , and we will continue to provide the same high-quality services as before , just with a different focus .
