McCook Public Schools Mission Statement: It is the mission of the McCook Public Schools’ community to equip all students to succeed in a complex global society. What’s going on in our Schools: McCook’s K-3 students showed improvement in writing, reading, math and vocabulary scores. McCook students in grades 4, 8 and 10 scored above the national norms (50) on the standardized tests: ( ACT research has shown that it is the rigor of coursework that has the greatest impact on ACT performance so please encourage your child to take the rigorous courses at MHS.) The following report card contains similar information to better inform patrons about our school district. We welcome your comments and suggestions. McCook’s graduation rate was 87.5%. Improving vocabulary skills remains the focus of the school improvement plan for grades PreK-12.
