How is networking important for you and your career? What do you think in
general about networking?
It is very important. Webster University Vienna has an advisory board that consist of
CEO’s, from many of the Austria branches of USA multinational companies, like 3M, City
Bank, Hewlett Packard, IBM, and also for us this is very important to have relationships
with companies here in Austria like with Erste Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, Bank of
Austria...We are supplying them with employees, we are training and educating the
people who will define success in their professional life by getting jobs with them and by
solving their organizational problems. So it is a win-win situation, the relationship
between University and the Corporations.
What do your MBA Alumni mostly look for?
Definitely the network. We have a very active Alumni Association, they organize 2 big
events, one in November the “Alumni Symposium “ , this year the topic is
“Entrepreneurship and Innovation in an International Context with variety of business
leaders speaking and interact later.
The second is the annual “Alumni Cocktail and Graduation Celebration” in May where we
congratulate and welcome the all new graduates to the Alumni Association. This year we
had over 500 people attending.
