Football , Chili , Tailgating …

T he chill of the Fall air always signals the season of Football and Chili - and the two are synonymous with Tailgating ! Many Mazzio ' s folks in the Tulsa area are familiar with one of the longest established tailgating groups for the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane - the " TU Tailgators ". Several of the Mazzio ' s family have served over the years as a celebrity judge on the culinary judging panel for this group ' s annual ( and raucous ) " Chili Cook-Off Competition ". Even a few of our Sygma friends have stepped up to the judging challenge in the past . None were on the panel this year . So , without any bias from the judges , it made for a very " sweet " victory for the voted winner in this year ’ s competition … Mazzio ' s own " culinarian extraordinaire " – JIM COWAN ( Director of Supply Chain Management ).

So “ why ?”, you might ask , is this NewzLetter worthy ? Because in the post-competition interview , Jim shared his “ secret ingredient ”… ( wait for it !)… SWEET MEMPHIS DRY RUB SEASONING ! How much ? That ’ s the rest of the recipe he is keeping a closely guarded secret .

Tulsa CSR Charity Crawford is recognized for being a wonderful employee with endless potential ! In April 2016 , Charity began working with Mazzio ’ s during her senior year of high school .
