One father, Jacob, 12 sons from whom came twelve tribes. There is a core Jewish population of nearly 14 million people worldwide, and almost 22 million who hold or are eligible for Israeli citizenship under the Law of Return — defined as anyone with at least one Jewish grandparent, and who does not actively profess any other religion.

Represented by people who have made Aliyah from various countries, the Jewish nation is becoming increasingly diverse. But how did they get dispersed and how are Israelites being identified today and coming back to their homeland?

Five different opinions, each experts in their field in academics, genetics and religion regarding the Jewish Diaspora will share their perspectives in an attempt to offer readers a balanced landscape of what potentially happened and is currently occurring with Israel. Sharing their views will be:
