Without going to Israel what can people do to support the Jewish People?

Aaron pointed back to the Scriptures, "Remember the text we have is 2,000 years removed from the original event. We should be looking at the New Testament as a Jewish Document, putting Jesus back into His Jewish context with all its nuances would be very beneficial for Christians."

Sharon furthered that sentiment by saying, "I think it is very common as Western believers to go straight from the Creation Story to the Fall, then straight to the birth of Jesus and skip a huge part of the redemption story. There is a nation within that story, a nation as a light to all nations in the world. The wonderful thing is when believers see this great story they get excited about their faith and it rounds out their understanding of the fullness of the Kingdom of God."

With the strong foundation and history of love for Israel how is CMJ blessing Israel today?

‘Our connection with the work in the Holy Land is very important to us. We send volunteers to Israel to help with CMJ efforts. We hear and see how these efforts bless the Jewish People. It helps relationally to build trust between Gentile Christians in the Jewish world by doing what we do," said Sharon.

"We engage in dialogue to strengthen Jewish and Christian relations, getting to know each other in a calm setting as friends," said Aaron.

As Sharon noted, gaining the trust of the Jewish people is a major aspect of their efforts. She pointed to how Canada had a national repentance event in Ottawa for the turning back of the Jewish refugee St Louis ship in World War Two.
