Greetings everyone!
Finally, the beautiful spring weather is here! I think it is safe to say we have all been waiting anxiously for things to warm up and now we can finally enjoy our horses without being so cold! After some much deserved time off, Lady and I are back in the arena gearing up for our first show of the season. We have also been practicing carrying the WSCA flag and Lady has been doing very well. She has so much try and grit, I just adore her. I also have been making time to drive over to Oasis Equestrian Center every chance I get to ride and spend time with my other two mares, Birdie and Olive. Olive has been such a treat under saddle, and I can’ t say it enough how excited I am for her! I can’ t wait to take her out to a few open shows in a couple of months and start competing with her. Birdie has been going steady and each time I work with this mare I enjoy her more and more. My big goal with Birdie is to get to know her better and for us to become a team. We have been very focused on pattern classes, and I am looking forward to challenging our skills in the upcoming months. Absolutely, none of this would be possible without my trainer, Mallory Storm. I can’ t say enough good things about what she has done for me over the years. From helping me improve as a rider, to training my horses I am beyond blessed to have her in my life. I love going to the Storm team practices whenever I get the chance. It is so fun to see everyone work hard and improve week after week. I enjoy spending time with my club, and the camaraderie we share.
April has been a busy month for the WSCA Royalty Court. We started off the month attending the Northland Horse Fair in Duluth, MN. We had such a great time meeting with so many people and vendors. I really enjoyed seeing all the saddle club booths and
