Katie has also had the honor of performing as a featured vocalist with many prestigious symphony orchestras across North America, including the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, National Arts Centre Orchestra, Naples Philharmonic, and Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
Aside from performing, Katie works as Administrative & Client Support for RSC Associates, a firm dedicated to fundraising and revenue growth in the arts sector. Her unique experiences as a performer are a benefit to furthering the firm’ s mission and industry influence. Jonathan Carney
Concertmaster Jonathan Carney is in his 24th season with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, after 12 seasons in the same position with London’ s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Mr. Carney hails from a musical family with all six members having graduated from Juilliard School. After completing his studies with Ivan Galamian and Christine Dethier, he was awarded a Leverhulme Fellowship to continue his studies in London at the Royal College of Music.
After international tours as concertmaster and soloist with numerous ensembles, Mr. Carney was invited by Vladimir Ashkenazy to become concertmaster of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in 1991. Recent solo performances include concertos by Bruch, Korngold, Sibelius, Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending, and more. He has made several recordings, including a disc of virtuoso works by Sarasate and Kreisler with his mother, Gloria Carney, as pianist. New releases include Beethoven’ s“ Archduke” and“ Ghost” trios, the cello quintet of Schubert, and a Dvořák disc with the Terzetto, and four Romantic pieces for violin.
Mr. Carney is passionate about music education and currently serves as Artistic Advisor for the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras.
Mr. Carney performs on a 1687 Stradivarius, the Mercur-Avery, on which he uses“ Vision” strings by Thomastik-Infeld. Mr. Carney’ s string sponsor is Connolly & Co., exclusive U. S. importer of Thomastik-Infeld strings. His Stradivarius sponsors are Neil and Sayra Meyerhoff, whose generous gifts underwrite the annual insurance premiums associated with this fine instrument.

Holly Jenkins
Holly Jenkins joined the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in September 2016. She has performed as a soloist and as a chamber musician in recitals in seven different countries. She began her performing career at the age of 11, when she was selected to solo with the Alton Symphony Orchestra. Subsequent concerto performances have included appearances with the Columbia Orchestra, Oberlin Conservatory, St. Louis Chamber Orchestra, Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Sarasota Music Festival, Eastern Music Festival Orchestra, St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra, Principia College Orchestra, Belleville Philharmonic, and the Clayton Symphony.
In addition to performing, Ms. Jenkins is passionately committed to promoting peace, dialogue, and crosscultural awareness through music. During the summer of 2011, she and a colleague conducted a tour of Jordan and the West Bank in cooperation with Musicians Without Borders, Nablus a Culture, and several other organizations, teaching and performing in schools and community centers. In 2012, she participated in a two-week trip to Pakistan with Cultures in Harmony to perform and conduct music workshops.
Ms. Jenkins holds degrees with the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and Manhattan School of Music. Her teachers have included Milan Vitek, Laurie Smukler, Amy Oshiro-Morales, and Winifred Crock.
