Hershey Medical Center, Penn State Children’s Hospital and Penn State College of Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty Dentist/Division Chief for the newly-created Division of Dentistry. The Division Chief will be responsible for organizing the process to launch a dental program at our academic medical center and recruit additional dental faculty and staff to provide inpatient and outpatient dental care, with the eventual goal of completing an application and initiation of a General Practice Residency (GPR) to support hospital and community dentistry needs. Opportunity Details • Exciting opportunity to build the division’s dental practice • Join the only academic center in the Central Pennsylvania region • Academic appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience • Benefits Include: Vacation time, 10 days of CME, 401k match up to 10% Requirements • DDS or DMD degree • Graduate of an approved General Practice Residency (GPR) • Qualify for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania • 5 years experience in inpatient dental management • 3-5 years experience in acute care hospital setting • Candidates must have a proven track record of leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to lead the new division in its active stage of growth. • Experience in clinical and didactic teaching of dental students and/or surgical residents is preferred.
