We asked some leading interior designers to break down the essential steps to achieving a personalised home and embracing the process.
Claire Richardson, interior designer at Sydney’ s Revel Design( reveldesign. com. au), says injecting parts of your personality is a great place to start.
“ Your home belongs to you. The most meaningful spaces are the ones that reflect real life and a family’ s personality,” she says. The key is not to get caught up in the idea of getting it‘ perfect’.“ Design isn’ t about perfection – it’ s about expression.” Interior designer Kerrie-Ann Jones(@ kerrieann. jones) is the author of Curated Style, a guide to creating deeply personal spaces. She says personalityinfused homes start with having clear intentions about the changes you want to make.“ Anyone can improve the look and feel of a space,” says Kerrie-Ann.“ You just need to be intentional in how you approach making those changes.”
