Kia ora Aotearoa. Nau mai ki te Puka o Mei, te puka
whakatairanga i te Marama Pūoro o Aotearoa.
Welcome to 2020. The May Book turns twenty with this
edition, and this year we are all about supporting local to
help the music industry thrive across Aotearoa and the
world. Like all of NZ Music Month 2020, this version of the
May Book will be a little different, with this digital version
being published online in Alert Level 3, with a view to
updated information being available in a hard copy in the
coming weeks.
The NZ music landscape is always changing, but the past
few months have seen a huge transformation in the way
audiences can discover and support local music. The
passionate, resilient, and creative people from all parts of
the New Zealand music industry are finding alternatives,
using technology, and utilising new platforms to make a
living from the work they love in very challenging times.
