1) The Minecraft Movie- Movies about video games have not done well at the box office up until now, but this film knows its target audience. And with Jason Mamoa and Jack Black to keep the action moving, this is the exception- fans love it! If you have played the game, you will too. The rest of us... probably. Make your choice... in theatres...
2) The Amateur- Rami Malek is worth watching in anything... but he is the only reason to absorb this formulaic mess. Laurence Fishburne does what he can, but we have seen all this before. And before that. Another choice... in theatres...
3) The Friend- Naomi Watts, Bill Murray and an amazing canine bring us a story about starting over- that includes dialogue that sounds as if it were spoken by real people and not amateur comedians. It ' s this month ' s sleeper- See it!... in theatres...
4) Your Friends & Neighbors- Jon Hamm is fantastic as a wealthy guy who loses his job and becomes a thief to keep his status level. It ' s a slow start- but after two episodes you ' ll be hooked. Just as good as Hamm- Olivia Munn and Amanda Peet... Watch it!- on Apple TV +...
