So handsome , aren ' t they ? This is Mocha , 18 months old , and Nova , 2 1 / 2 . Both Aussie Shepherds , Nova has limited eyesight , Mocha is totally blind , and both are deaf . They overcome those issues on a daily basis by using their sense of smell . They love hiking with their owner , who used his Army experience to teach them commands through the use of hand signals .
Nova and Mocha ' s proud owner is Dave Bower of Renovo .
