PRESIDENT’ S MESSAGE

Dear ASCE-NH Members,
As the warmer days arrive across New Hampshire, we welcome another start to construction season. This time of year always brings a renewed sense of momentum. It is a reminder of the critical role civil engineers play in building, maintaining, and improving the infrastructure that people rely on every day.
Meanwhile, the ASCE calendar year is coming to a close with our Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet on May 21, 2026. We will recognize the recipient of the Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement( OCEA) Award, announce the Class of 2026 Life Members, award our 2026 Scholarship Winners, and induct our 2027 Board of Directors.
A bit more behind the scenes, New Hampshire’ s Infrastructure Report Card is in full swing. The Report Card is a critical tool for communicating the condition and needs of our infrastructure and for advancing meaningful, datadriven discussions with policymakers and the public. Our Report Card Committee is working diligently, in collaboration with the national Society, to update this important document. We are targeting a Fall 2026 release and look forward to sharing the results with our members and stakeholders. As we move closer to release, we encourage members to support this effort and help advocate for the investments needed to strengthen and sustain New Hampshire’ s infrastructure.
Thank you for your continued dedication to ASCE New Hampshire and to the civil engineering profession.
Warm regards,

Loga n Johnson
