BetterLife Members- Protivin, IA, and Swisher, IA, had a great time at the 19th Annual Masopust( Czech Mardi Gras) celebration held Saturday, March 1, at the PIVO Brewery in Calmar, IA. The event is an all-afternoon celebration to raise money to support Czech traditions and culture. Attendees enjoyed a live band, dancing, and an authentic Czech meal.

The Czech Heritage Partnership( CHP) is an all-volunteer group that assists people with searching for their heritage, coordinating Czech concerts, etc. BetterLife Members assist the CHP with their activities. This Masopust celebration was attended by 250 people and raised $ 6,200. Everyone had a great time making connections and having fun during the festivities.
