Charbonneau Country Club Board of Directors

Introducing your 2025 nominees

LIFE’ S NEXT ADVENTURE

By DAVE MAUK Board Nominating Committee
The Charbonneau Country Club nominating committee is pleased to announce its four highly qualified candidates have been ratified by the board as nominees for the general election ballot. Each nominee has held past leadership roles in the community, while expressing their dedication to serve and give back to Charbonneau as new board members. Ballots are currently being distributed, with election certification at the May 21st annual meeting. Here are the nominees for three open seats.
Joe Brouillette
Joe moved to the Louvonne neighborhood of Charbonneau in 2014. He married his musically active wife Dee, two years later. Joe has many decades of executive leadership at companies with a global reach, including American Airlines and Accenture. In a more entrepreneurial capacity, he continues consulting in organizational development, executive coaching and performance optimization. Joe is well versed in finance, and was an adjunct faculty member at several university MBA programs. Joe’ s proven experience was a valuable asset as president of the Charbonneau Golf Club during its merger with the country club, as well as planning, building and remodeling the pavilion and public areas of the golf club including the Market Cafe.
Lee Harker
Lee’ s fulfilling medical career, after a dozen years on active duty as a Navy doctor, was as a pediatrician and a neonatologist, caring for newborn and premature babies, in Medford. She and her second husband, Steve Switzer, married in 2006 and moved to Charbonneau’ s Edgewater neighborhood in 2013. As a resident, Lee has been involved in numerous Charbonneau activity groups including CWA, Wilsonville Garden Club, bridge, knitting and a book club. Lee was appointed to the board in 2023, filling out the remaining term of her late husband and now serves as chair of the asset management committee.
Kathy Harp
Kathy and her husband Gene moved to Charbonneau in 2011. Kathy’ s career was as an educator and elementary school principal. Her first tenure on the Charbonneau board was in 2014, serving at various times on the communications committee, as treasure, vice president and as president, following Tony Holt. It was at this busy time that the Activity Center was planned and the merger with the golf club took place. After a six month break, in 2020 Kathy was appointed to the board as vice president, filling a seat of a departed director. In recent years, in addition to that, she has chaired the architectural control and landscaping committee, which directed the planning and development of Edith Green Park.
John McLain
John and his wife Kathi moved to Charbonneau in 2013, a year before John retired from a career in operations, finance and product development in the energy and utility industries. Over the years, he has been active coaching youth soccer, as an adjunct facility member at two local colleges and as an officer of PGE Retirees Association. His many roles in Charbonneau have included past president of both the Men’ s Club, and Arts Association and as a director of the Country Club. John is particularly attuned to financial forecasting, planning and management. He now serves as a committee member on both the communications and financial oversight committees.
