McClure is seeking a Traffic Safety Engineer to join our newly established East Region Transportation team . The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with industry experts on a variety of high-visibility and critical projects , including Intersection Control Evaluations ( ICE ), Road Safety Audits ( RSA ), and comprehensive safety analysis to design facilities for all users . Knowledge , Skills and Abilities :
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor with all staff
• Ability to manage a fair workload by staying focused and managing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and helping the team produce a quality product
• Strong knowledge of CAD ( AutoCAD Civil 3d ) and other Engineering / Technical skills
• Excellent computer skills , including Microsoft Office
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Educational and / or Experience Requirements :
• All experience levels will be considered
• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience performing safety alternatives analysis , crash data analysis and development of crash countermeasures
• Experience related to capacity analyses , concept development , traffic modeling , traffic impact analyses , and traffic signal design and timing studies
• Experience overseeing traffic data collection , trip generation , and traffic analysis activities
• Proficiency using AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus
• Proficiency using Synchro & SimTraffic
• Experience using traffic modeling software such as PTV Vissim a plus
• Experience developing junior staff a plus
• Experience with MassDOT and / or MA municipal clients a plus
