Page 7 THE MAGAZINE ROOM Finally that time of year May seems to be the time of year when the show season is in full effect. In April we had some great shows go off without bad weather. Let s hope this continues to be the trend for 2011. Lay d Out in the Park was in the 70 s and sunny with no snow, while Tex Mex was dry and warm unlike last year with all the rain. This month we have several shows on the schedule including Relaxin in SoCal, The Gathering, Showfest, Down to Earth, Good-guys Nashville, Slammin-N-Jammin and Beatersville to name a few. If you are a show promoter and have an event coming up, don t forget to add your events to the calendar at gaugemagazine.com. May also means we are just a month away from SLAMOLOGY. This will be the 8th annual Slamology Automotive and Music Festival. If you haven t been to this event it is two days of great times, hundreds of rides from across the lands and festive music from rock to reggae to rap. This year Hard Rock Café Indianapolis is sponsoring the Main Stage and the After Hours Show. Others things going on during the day include the World s Largest Slip-n-Slide, Skateboard Expo, DB Drags, Bikini Contest, Hydraulic Demo, Tattoo Contest and of course Club Games. So mark your calendar for June 18-19, 2011. You can pre-register your vehicle at www.slamology.com Last but not least, if you have your vehicle featured for a magazine, no matter who it is, tell the truth on your tech sheet and story. If you didn t like the job someone did for you, then don t list them. But don t lie and list someone else. And for the readers, remember the photographers shooting the vehicles for various magazines don t know all the details on every ride. They only can go by what they are told and given by the current owner. Final word of this editorial, RESPECT.
