How has your company philosophy changed
over the years?
We have remained focused on organics and truly value and
appreciate our long-time customers who continue to shop local.
It is amazing how many customers are now our friends.
What product lines do you carry?
Our top products are BioCanna, BioBizz, Nature’s Nectar,
Nectar for the Gods, KIND LED, Sun System, Phantom,
Organocide, and FoxFarm Ocean Forest and Happy Frog. We
believe in all these companies and push sales for them.
Have you moved or expanded since the beginning?
We are in the same location. In 2016, we had the opportunity
to move to a bigger location, but with that came higher rent,
having to hire more employees, more bills, etc. We decided
that bigger is not always better. We like the small feel of our
shop and the location that we are in.
How many people now work for the store?
Four.
What makes your employees so awesome?
How does your team bond?
Trevor freshening up the compost tea, which is made in-house
using a vortex machine.
Trevor Mack, our manager, has been with us for five years.
He knows the ins and outs of Box of Rain and we can fully
trust him to run the shop smoothly. Our newest employee,
Tazia Wisdom, has a huge desire to learn and broaden her
gardening knowledge. Both are always in a positive mood
with a smile on their face, ready to answer any questions that
our customers have. Outside of the office, we like to bond over
games of bowling, live music, and outdoor recreation.
