What are your company ’ s strengths ?
We have two PhD scientists who do constant testing of our products to keep the quality up to the highest standards . Having science as our backbone is what makes our company stand apart from others . We are a science-based company . We also have sourced the highest-quality products , many in powdered form , which makes it much more economical for the customer since they do not have to pay for water in a product but instead can add their own water . We have a patent on our Nature ’ s Solution Compost Tea , which is the only product on the market that has active living organisms in a breathable bag from all groups of microorganisms necessary to cycle nutrients in an organic / biological / sustainable system of growing : beneficial bacteria , beneficial saphrophytic fungi , protozoa , and beneficial bacterial-feeding and fungal-feeding nematodes . We also are now able to sell in a stable form beneficial protozoa and beneficial nematodes separately . These must be purchased directly from our company on a very limited basis .
What are some of your proudest moments ?
Receiving a patent on our liquid and powdered compost tea . Helping industry growers be successful in growing hydroponically ( soil and soilless media ) without the use of chemicals .
How does your company philosophy translate to opportunities ?
We offer online classes and programs to become certified soil life consultants . We pair consultants with opportunities that we get from around the world that are in need of transitioning from chemical-based growing into biological-organic-based regenerative practices .
What significant things have you learned so far about the industry ?
When we first started , I would drive up and down the Mendicino- Humboldt Highway along the coast of Northern California and visit every hydroponic store in the area . I was so impressed by the quest for knowledge of all I met . Store owners and customers were very serious and wanted to learn about compost tea and the use of biology in growing . That attitude was so different from the reaction in the home garden center market , where people just wanted the cheapest chemicals and were only interested in a band-aid approach . In the hydro industry , people wanted the best , were willing to pay for the best , and wanted to know why and how it all worked .
What have you learned about starting and growing a company ?
Customer service is the most important thing . Take time with each and every person who calls on the phone , listen to their situation , and then help them go from there .
What words of wisdom can you share about the business , the industry , or the future of the industry ?
There is hope . We can grow without chemicals . We can overcome all disease and pest situations , whether growing indoors or outside , in pots or in the ground . Growing organically / biologically can produce bigger , better , and more nutrient-dense plants that will surpass any chemically grown plants . The rules of Mother Nature must be followed to achieve this ; the program cannot only be done halfway . It cannot be a mix of chemical and organic to achieve this . That will only produce half of the results desired .
