How many people currently work for the company?
We have a team of 15 talented people in Miami,
Seattle, and China.
What are Bifarm’s strengths?
First and foremost, our strength is our ability to respond to
users’ feedback and deliver solutions quickly. We spend a
lot of time listening to users and addressing their primary
concerns. Aeroponics is still a relatively new growing
method, so a lot of helpful feedback or solutions come
from people directly involved in the growing community.
We created a forum for users to share their questions and
answers with us and each other. We also pride ourselves
in the ability to quickly design, improve, and manufacture
our products.
What are some of your proudest moments?
When users are sharing their stunning results on
social media. We cheer and celebrate each user’s
accomplishments!
What significant things have you learned
so far about the industry?
There are tremendous opportunities for ag-tech to make this
industry better, but there’s still a long way to go.
What have you learned about
starting and growing a company?
Human capital is the most important
resource and advantage. While
our company is focused on using
technology to aid in the growing
process, we would not be anything
without our team.
What words of wisdom can
you share about the business,
the industry, or the future
of the industry?
Listen to users and find solutions for
them. Doing that builds close ties with
pilot users and communities.

a day on the job.

I remember when we went to Denver
as an exhibitor for our very first trade
show for growers. Not knowing what
to expect, we planned to get to the
venue early and see what everyone
else was doing. For that, Kalei had to
wake up at 4 a.m. to catch the flight. Don't get me wrong,
we had done our research and brought things we thought
we would need. But when fellow exhibitors started
coming over offering help in booth setup and giving tips
on how to attract traffic, it was pretty obvious that we
were the new guys. We did well in the show at the end of
the day. In fact, many people stopped by our booth telling
us that we were the most high-tech one in the conference.
That was quite a compliment.
