LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
I’M A FAN WINNER
Grower Travels Miles for the Goods
Maximum Yield is where I learn about all of the products that
are good for growing, and all of the new products coming out.
Maximum Yield has taught me tons of new things. In fact,
I’ve learned more stuff in one year
reading your magazine than I have
in the last three years of gardening
without Maximum Yield. I love all of
the topics you guys cover in every
issue. I sometimes travel nearly
60 miles each way just to get the
magazine, but it is worth the drive.

Spreading the Love
Thank you so much for choosing me as your June fan of the
month. I was so excited when I saw the issue, and hurried
to share it with my family and friends. They were happy, too,
and instantly became fans. The Los Angeles Hydroponics
and Organics staff were all so grateful and cheerful that I
mentioned them as my favorite hydroponics shop. They let me
know they received the prize and I was able to spend it right
away. Thanks again!

ANNOUNCING VEE’S PLACE
We, along with Hydro for Hunger and
the Institute of Simplified Hydroponics
(ISH), are deeply saddened by the
recent passing of longtime supporter
and friend, Vibeke “Vee” Kjoelhede.
She was a unique person, full of
life, who can never be replaced.
Vee was not only a champion of the
hydroponics and indoor gardening
industries, representing the Grodan
product line, but she was also an
Vibeke “Vee” Kjoelhede
adamant advocate of the long-term
benefits of hydroponics and the teaching of sustainability. With
her blessing, we are proud to announce that the hydroponics
learning center at the ISH in Missouri will be named Vee’s Place,
in honor of her longtime support of the Hydro for Hunger initiative
and the ISH. We could not have found a more appropriate
namesake, whose goals and ideals were so closely aligned with
those of the center and our organization. We hope it serves to
maintain Vee’s legacy. Look for upcoming news and updates
about Vee’s Place in the near future!
